The event
We were delighted when Meg and Nathan, the future Mr and Mrs Malek, approached us about hiring our 360 photo booth for their East Riding wedding.
The bride and groom really wanted a magical experience, asking for a bespoke set of props which tied in with their wedding theme. We were happy to oblige, as we wanted everything to be as seamless as possible for them.
The venue
Who needs to go to the south of France for a vineyard wedding, when you can enjoy the rural idyll that is Little Wold Vineyard on the Yorkshire Wolds.
Their Tasting Room doubles as a licensed wedding ceremony room for up to 100 guests, with beautiful views across the vines. There’s also the Terrace Room for smaller weddings of up to 40 guests. If the whole venue is hired, you can have up to 150 guests.
They offer bespoke drinks packages and catering. We have to say, their grazing tables looked amazing, packed with local produce. Plus you can party until midnight!
The evening
We set up the booth before the guests arrived for dinner. We then had a couple of hours ‘treading water’ before opening up, so took a walk outside to watch the sunset.
After the speeches, the guests took to the dance floor and had a whirl on the Party Octopus. They were an amazing crowd. Particular shout-outs should go to the bridesmaids and the groomsmen who cut some fantastic shapes!
Party Octopus highlights
We loved that we could liaise directly with Little Wold Vineyard’s in-house event planner. The Tasting Room was the perfect location for Party Octopus. The wooden floorboards allowed for a smooth swoop of our 360 camera arm. Plus there was plenty of room for our social station and prop box dress-up area.
